Itinerary

Day 1: Desert trip from Marrakech to Ait Ben Haddou and Dades Gorge

Day 1: Desert trip from Marrakech to Ait Ben Haddou and Dades Gorge

After breakfast today, we will pick you up and drive you 113 miles (183 kilometres) east to At Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with historic clay structures from the 11th century. You'll go via the picturesque Tizi n'Tichka mountain pass, which is the highest in Morocco at 7,414 feet, on the route there (2,260 meters).

You will start exploring the fort as soon as you get there. The majority of the structures in At Benhaddou are houses, which are fortified with defensive walls, angled towers, and an armoured gate. Additionally, you will discover more about the significant history of the city and pre-Saharan earthen construction methods.

The Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia, The Mummy, and Game of Thrones, among others, have all used Ait Benhaddou as a shooting location. You'll spend the memorable time in the historic district, and once the people have dispersed, you'll have time to explore the deserted alleys.

You will travel from Ait Ben Haddou to the Dades Gorges and the Skoura Oasis to visit all the Kasbahs, some of which are regrettably in disrepair but which are idyllically situated among the palm palms. The major road runs through the Valley of Roses, where visitors can pause to view the locally produced cosmetics that are made from the numerous roses in the valley. These goods are well-known and highly esteemed throughout Morocco.

After lunch, we proceed to the Dades Valley. We will travel through the vibrant Berber communities of the Dades valley as we visit the Dades gorges. The 1,000 kasbahs that are strewn throughout the route are so gorgeous it's hard to imagine. Stay night in the hotel.

Day 2 : From Dades Gorge to Todra Gorge and Merzouga

Day 2 : From Dades Gorge to Todra Gorge and Merzouga

Today, you will continue your 4-day Marrakech Desert tour to Merzouga. After breakfast, you go via the Dades Valley's route of 1,000 kasbahs, passing by vibrant Berber communities. You arrive in Tineghir, which has a beautiful palm grove.

You continue on to the Todra Gorge, a popular destination for mountain climbers, where you ride through canyons that are around 300 meters high. Of course, the Todra gorge is the area's main draw and the main reason visitors come here. The water carved out the gorge thousands of years ago. Back then, it was still a wild area; today, it is a tiny creek.

You are fully surrounded by soaring cliffs at the smallest point. Stunning to behold! You don't see a lot of traffic or activity on the route to the gorge, but once you reach its narrowest point, it is crowded with stalls, tourists, hikers, cars, and even tourist vans that drive through it. Watch out, they're all on the same route. You will next travel to the Erg Chebbi dunes in the Merzouga Sahara desert.

You will eat lunch in route. However, you shall have a camel ride once you reach the Erg Chebbi dunes. Along with watching the sunset, you will traverse the Sahara desert on a camel. After an hour of camel riding, you arrive at your campsite. Here is where the wonderful Merzougan night starts.

You will be provided with a delectable dinner prepared with regional ingredients and spices in the Berber tent camp. During supper, the cooks will join you and discuss life in the Sahara desert. Meeting people whose lives are so dissimilar to your own and conversing about their perspectives on life is always pleasant. This will be fantastic, above all.

You will gather around a bonfire at dusk to watch the night sky, which will be filled with stars, and have a clear view of the Milky Way. Even though this isn't your first time seeing stars, it will undoubtedly be one of the greatest. There are perhaps not many locations that are more suitable for stargazing than the Merzouga desert. In fact, you have a fun-filled night in the desert's largest bivouac.

Day 3: trip From Merzouga to Ouarzazate

Day 3: trip From Merzouga to Ouarzazate

On the third day of our Marrakech desert tour, we wake up early and climb the sand dunes to watch the marvelous sunrise. After that, we will have breakfast in our camp before we trek camels again to take us back to the village of Merzouga where we will meet our driver.

Next, we drive to Ouarzazate via Rissani where we will stop to have a look at its traditional souk which is considered to be the largest in the south. Then, we continue our tour to Ouarzazate crossing the beautiful Draa valley with its million palm trees. Overnight in Ouarzazate at you Riad.

Day 4: day trip from to Ouarzazate to Marrakech city

Day 4: day trip from to Ouarzazate to Marrakech city

Our 4-day Marrakech desert trips will end with a trip to Ait Ben Haddou village. Before that, though, we'll stop at Atlas Studio, one of the biggest movie studios in the world.
You’ll depart for Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Morocco, following a guided tour. A recent example of a Hollywood film that used the Kasbah as a backdrop is Game of Thrones. Lunch will be served here.

Finally, you will proceed via the High Atlas Mountains toward Marrakech. You will take a break to visit the Kasbah el Glaoui, which once served as a major Moroccan trade hub.
Marrakech, which straddles tradition and modernity, holds out the promise of unparalleled pleasures.

The souks and Jemaa El-Fna square, with its glistening colours and exotic aromas, provide a total change of scenery as you stroll through the red city. A hopeful comeback will be provided by horse-drawn carriage rides, sunny terraces, traveling performers, and other day and night diversions.

Our Marrakech desert trip comes to a close when our driver drops you off in Marrakech later that evening.
