If you can catch a flight to Fez, it will be perfect because you will save time to visit Marrakech in just 6 days. Therefore, we visit Fez on the first day, then we travel to the desert. On the fifth day, we arrive to Marrakech so that we explore it on the 6th day.

Spend less days in the Desert:

Instead of spending 3 days in the desert, you can save one day to spend in Marrakech. There are some must do activities to do and 2 days are just enough. Consequently, if you are squized by time, you can spend just 2 days in the desert.

Day 1: From Casablanca to Fez

Day 1: From Casablanca to Fez

The Morocco Travel driver will meet you at the airport and then you drive towards Fez. You will see the main places on your road. You stop in Meknes to have a guided visit of Volubilis. Meanwhile, you will see the Roman ruins and you get more information about the history of the lost city. Then, you continue your travel to Fez. Overnight at your Riad in Fez.

In the second day of Morocco itinerary 6 days from Casablanca, we will devote the whole day to exploring Fez city, the oldest cultural and spiritual city in the world. The city was founded in 790 A.C by Moulay Idriss II.

Your Morocco Tour includes visiting the old medina. Exploring its alleys and narrow streets. You start by the Jewish Quarter (the Mellah) and the Royal Palace (yard). Then, You move to visit the famous tanneries and the Quaraouine mosque which is considered to be the first university in the world. Lunch will be at a typical Moroccan restaurant in the old Medina. You’ll experience a wonderful panoramic view of the city. Overnight at the same riad.

Day 3: Fez to Merzouga Sahara Desert

After breakfast in your Riad, we’ll leave Fes to Merzouga Sahara Desert traveling through Ifrane. The city referred to as “the Switzerland of Morocco”. During this journey, you’ll have glimpses of the Middle Atlas and High Atlas mountains. We stop at Azrou in the cedar forest to see Barbarian Apes. Afterward, we drive to Midelt where we will have lunch.

Our Morocco travel will continue through Tizi Ntalghamt pass and along the magnificent Ziz Gorges carved through volcanic rock and along the spectacular Ziz Valley. We will drive passing by Berber villages to Erfoud and then Rissani before we reach Merzouga. Finally, Overnight in your local hotel.

Day 4: Merzouga Desert camp and Camel ride

After breakfast in your hotel, The Morocco Travel driver will take you to explore Merzouga dunes and people. you’ll visit the village of Khamlia where you will meet Gnawa people. You will have firsthand experience with their music and lifestyle.

In addition, you will visit some nomad families in the Sahara desert. They are still living under Berber tents made from the wool of their animals. You will have a traditional lunch named “Berber pizza.” Afterward, you visit Rissani and if you Morocco travel collides with the traditional souk held there, you can visit it.

Later, ye will drive back to the village of Merzouga, where your camel ride is waiting for you. The camel ride takes about 1 hour to arrive to Merzouga camps where you will spend your night. You will enjoy the sunset and the Berber music and dancing in the camps. This will be a magic night.

Day 5: From Merzouga to Todra Gorges and Dades Valley

You will have breakfast and shower in the Riad. After that, you leave for Todgha gorges which is the highest and the narrowest gorge in Morocco.

After lunch, you will drive through the Dades Valley, where you’ll see the majestic sand castles and the amazing rock formations known as “monkey toes”. Overnight in your traditional Riad with dinner and breakfast.

Day 6: From Dades Valley to Ouarzazate, Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou and Marrakech.

Well done Morocco Travel

I cannot describe how it was this experience. The stuff is well organized and they know what they are doing, the hotels are up the our expectations, and the driver and guides are very friendly. For sure we will book with them again if we came back to Morocco, I recommend!
