Do you dream of a thousand and one nights, of tales and wonders, of enchantment and change of scenery? So let yourself be transported to the land of Morocco.

Close your eyes. Imagine. It’s hot. All around you, an architecture crumbling with details and colors, spaces overflowing with life, stalls piled up in the alleys, enticing smells, spices tickling your taste buds, friendly people at each door.

Travel a little further. Huge dunes, breathtaking mountains, the sea as far as the eye can see, ocher-colored land, houses in the rock, herds of goats in the villages.

You are in Morocco.

The good news? The dream can easily come true. The worst? It will be difficult to choose which places to visit in Morocco as there is so much to discover. But do not panic, we are here and we offer a mini-guide to the best most beautiful places to see in 7 days.

Merzouga and the dunes of the Sahara

Morocco-itinerary-7-days-2

Difficult not to go through the Sahara Desert when you visit Morocco. In the south-east of the country nestles the Saharan village of Merzouga. It is the ideal gateway to explore the largest Moroccan dunes.

Also called Erg Chebbi, this lunar massif of the desert offers a real postcard landscape. Here, it is the desert, the dunes, and the dromedaries as you have always imagined them! As far as the eye can see, you will only find a sea of golden sand.

To take advantage of this exceptional place during your stay in Morocco, many activities are available to you: camel ride, night under the stars with Saharouis nomads, night in Berber bivouacs or simply a sporty walk.

Morocco itinerary 7 days from Casablanca will be an enchanting journey to this magic space.

Ksar of Aït-ben-Haddou

trek-desert-maroc-3-jours-4

In the 5th day of your Morocco itinerary 7 days from Casablanca, you will visit one of the top attractions in Morocco. It’s Ait Ben Haddou.

Aït-ben-Haddou is located in the province of Ouarzazate. It is a Moroccan Ksar: a fortified village typical of the Maghreb, erected here on the hillside. Its value and preservation are so exceptional that the village is listed as a UNESCO heritage site. You understand why it is one of the most beautiful places to visit in Morocco.

Aït-ben-Haddou looks like a heap of red earth dwellings and corner towers surrounded by defensive walls. The ocher and caramel colors of the brick are breathtaking.

The little extra? The Ksar was the location of many shootings: Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia, Prince of Persia or Game of Thrones. The first one to find the cult scenes!

Marrakech, last city in Morocco itinerary 7 days

how-many-days-to-spend-in-marrakech-5

Marrakech is the main destination for tourists in Morocco. The Pearl of the South is very popular, and for good reason: located between sea and mountains, it combines Moroccan traditions and modernism to satisfy all its visitor’s needs.

Whether you want to relax with a beauty treatment or party, you will find what you are looking for in Marrakech!

Lovers of beautiful stones will not be outdone. Its Medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, houses most of its historic buildings: the Koutoubia Mosque, the Ben Youssef Medersa, the Majorelle Garden, the Saadian tombs.

Admire, at the option of the alleys, the mosaics that adorn the walls and the multiple colors that brighten up the stalls of the souks. Taste their delicious dishes on the street, because that’s where they are the best.

To visit in the last day of your 7 days tour from Casablanca.

Fez, the cultural capital of Morocco

Morocco-itinerary-10-days-1

Do you want to visit refined, historic, and artistic Morocco? Then head to Fez, a mythical city full of attractions.

The Medina, or old town, of Fez is reputed to be the most beautiful in the country. Its charm comes from its omnipresent traces of the past. The imprint of history takes shape on each school, mosque or alleyway. The best thing is to get lost in these colors of time.

The visit to the Chouara tannery in Fez is also a must. Stroll between the pools and then take to the heights on these colorful terraces. One of the most beautiful live shows during your stay at la Fassis.

Morocco is also known for its ceramics and it is in Fez that you will find the most beautiful works. Their characteristic? This piercing blue whose recipe remains secret. Pottery from Fez is one of the best souvenirs to bring back from a travel to Morocco.

Toudgha Gorges

In southern Morocco, explore the Atlas Mountains. Take the road in the heart of the Toudgha valley. Along the way, split limestone cliffs three hundred meters high. You enter the Todgha lodges.

To visit Morocco and experience the grandeur of its landscapes, the Toudgha gorges are among the most fabulous. You will have the feeling of being engulfed by these giants of nature. Then, the center of the gorges is accessible on foot.

You can soak in the water of Toudgha wadi, the river that waters the valley and gives it its amazing fertility. During your ride, especially, look up! Do not be surprised by the climbers that you will find hanging on the sides of the cliffs.

Indeed, Morocco itinerary 7 days doesn’t include only the attractions stated here, but also other attractions like the cedar forest of Azrou, the cities like Rabat and Meknes, and much more.

1 class experience

We were greeted by our professional and friendly driver, Hassan at Casablanca Airport, and once we were settled in a comfortable car. We were 4 friends and we went on an 7 days adventure from Casablanca, we bonded with Hassan as if he was a member of our group. He was friendly, caring, and check every detail. We could ask eny question about Morocco and he was always able to give satisfied answers. we enjoyed learning about morocco's culture and history. We visited Meknes, Fez, the Desert, and Marrakech. The journey was wonderful and can’t comment about how the great Hassan was. Also, the hotels they booked for us were up to our expectations, the camps also were great. Indeed, I dont always feel safe when other people are driving. Hassan was a good driver, he was not impatient or aggressive. It was very comfortable trip and you could tell Hassan was comfortable in the vehicle and made our trip fun and knew a lot about the history of each place we were at. Thanks Morocco Travel for such a great experience.
