05/16 Day 1: arrival to Marrakech

Upon your arrival at the airport, your designated driver will be there to greet you and transport you to your hotel. In the event of an early arrival, the driver can also guide you on a tour to explore some of the finest attractions in Marrakech.

We intentionally refrain from scheduling activities on the first day due to the potential fatigue travelers may experience, particularly after long flights. This approach allows us to maintain flexibility in the program to cater to individual needs and ensure a comfortable start to your journey.

05/17 Day 2: Explore Marrakech with a private guide

In Marrakech you will visit the following:

Jardin Majorelle: This enchanting botanical garden, originally designed by French painter Jacques Majorelle, is a serene oasis in the heart of Marrakech. Vibrant hues of cobalt blue and lush greenery create a stunning backdrop for leisurely strolls. Admire exotic plants from around the world, including towering cacti, majestic palms, and blooming bougainvillea. Don’t miss the iconic Art Deco villa and the charming Berber Museum, which showcases a remarkable collection of North African artifacts and textiles.

Dar Si Saïd Museum: Housed within a splendid 19th-century palace, the Dar Si Saïd Museum offers a fascinating glimpse into Moroccan craftsmanship and design. Explore beautifully decorated rooms adorned with intricate woodwork, delicate stucco carvings, and colorful mosaic tiles. The museum’s highlight is its extensive collection of Moroccan carpets, textiles, and traditional Berber jewelry, providing insight into the country’s rich cultural heritage and artistic traditions.

The remaining of the day will be your own to do what you like.

05/18 Day 3: Transfer to Essaouira

After Breakfast, you depart from Marrakech and head to Essaouira, a charming coastal town on the Atlantic Ocean. The drive takes approximately 2.5 hours and passes through beautiful scenery, including the picturesque village of Chichaoua and the argan tree forest. Along the way, visitors can stop to admire the views, take photos, and stretch their legs.

Once in Essaouira, head straight to the beach to enjoy the fresh sea air and explore the bustling port. The beach is a popular spot for water sports, and visitors can try their hand at windsurfing, kiteboarding, or stand-up paddleboarding. Alternatively, they can simply relax on the golden sands and take in the stunning ocean views.

After exploring the beach, head to the historic Medina of Essaouira, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Visitors can wander through the labyrinthine streets and alleys, admiring the stunning architecture and browsing the local shops and markets. The Medina is known for its vibrant atmosphere, with street performers, musicians, and artists adding to the lively ambiance.

Next, take a break for lunch at one of the local restaurants, which serve up delicious fresh seafood dishes. Essaouira is renowned for its seafood, and visitors can enjoy everything from grilled fish to traditional tagines and salads. Many restaurants offer outdoor seating with stunning views of the ocean and the bustling port.

After lunch, head to the Essaouira port to see the colorful fishing boats and the bustling fish market. Visitors can watch the fishermen bring in their catch and see the local fishmongers selling fresh seafood. The port is also home to a historic fortification and a lighthouse, both of which offer great views of the town and the ocean.

05/19 Day 4: Essaouira to El Jadida

After breakfast, you leave Essaouira and embark on a scenic coastal journey towards El Jadida. As you set out on the road, the captivating beauty of the Atlantic coastline unfolds before you, offering breathtaking views of the vast ocean stretching out to the horizon.

Along the way, you’ll have the opportunity to visit the Kasbah de Boulaouane, a historic fortress perched atop a hill overlooking the coast. Dating back to the 18th century, this imposing structure served as a strategic stronghold for centuries, offering commanding views of the surrounding landscape. Explore the intricately decorated interiors and stroll through the peaceful gardens, soaking in the rich history and architectural splendor of this ancient monument.

As you continue your journey, be sure to keep an eye out for the iconic blue fishing boats that dot the coastline, a symbol of the region’s rich maritime heritage. You might also catch glimpses of local fishermen casting their nets into the sea or tending to their daily catch, providing a glimpse into the traditional way of life along the coast.

05/20 Day 5: El Jadida to Tangier

As you bid farewell to the charming coastal town of El Jadida, your journey continues northward towards the archaeological site of Lixus and the quaint town of Asilah. The drive offers breathtaking views of the Atlantic coastline, with waves crashing against rocky cliffs and sandy beaches stretching into the distance.

Upon reaching Lixus, you’ll have the opportunity to explore the fascinating remains of this ancient Roman city. Wander through the ruins of temples, baths, and residential quarters, imagining the vibrant life that once thrived in this historic settlement. Marvel at the impressive mosaics and intricate carvings that offer glimpses into Lixus’ rich cultural heritage.

Next, you’ll make your way to the picturesque town of Asilah, known for its charming white-washed buildings adorned with vibrant murals. Stroll through the narrow streets of the medina, soaking in the laid-back atmosphere and admiring the colorful artwork that adorns the walls. Take some time to explore the town’s historic landmarks, including the 15th-century Portuguese ramparts and the quaint fishing harbor.

05/21 Day 6: Exploring Tangier

Tangier is a city nestled in northern Morocco at the Strait of Gibraltar. Tangier’s unique position as a crossroads of cultures for centuries has imbued it with a captivating blend of European, African, and Arabian influences. As you step into this city, you’ll uncover a tapestry of captivating attractions:

Begin your Tangier adventure at the Kasbah Museum (Museum of Moroccan Art), a historical fortress that houses a treasure trove of Moroccan art, artifacts, and historical exhibits. Don’t forget to take in the breathtaking views of the city and the sea from this elevated vantage point.

Venture into the Medina of Tangier, where narrow, winding streets beckon you to immerse yourself in the city’s traditional ambiance. These labyrinthine streets reveal bustling markets, artisan workshops, and charming cafés where you can savor the flavors of local life.

The Grand Socco, a sizable square at the heart of Tangier, invites you to observe the vibrant rhythm of local existence. It’s a place encircled by shops, cafes, and historical buildings, offering a delightful snapshot of daily life in Tangier.

A short drive from the city center, you’ll find yourself at Cap Spartel, the northwesternmost point of Africa. Here, you’ll be treated to awe-inspiring vistas of the Atlantic Ocean merging with the Mediterranean Sea. 05/22 Day 7: Tangier to Chefchaouen via Tetouan

05/23 Day 8: Exploring The Rif Mountains

After a hearty breakfast, embark on a scenic journey through the rugged Rif Mountains, where dramatic landscapes and lush valleys await.

As you venture deeper into the heart of the Rif Mountains, the scenery transforms into a tapestry of verdant forests and cascading streams, with each twist and turn of the road revealing new wonders. Along the way, you’ll pass through charming villages and fertile farmland, offering glimpses of traditional Moroccan life.

Upon arriving at Akchour, you’ll set out on a picturesque hike through the scenic foothills, following winding trails that lead to the breathtaking waterfalls. Marvel at the sheer beauty of the cascading waters as they tumble over rugged cliffs, creating a mesmerizing spectacle that seems almost surreal.

Take a moment to cool off in the refreshing pools beneath the falls, or simply bask in the tranquility of the surrounding wilderness. 05/24 Day 9: Home sweet home

Our 9-day tour from Marrakech has come to a close here. Even while it makes us happy when a tour goes as planned, this is one of the aspects of our profession that we dislike the most. After traveling together for 11 days, we develop relationships, share our experiences, and open up about ourselves. True, saying bye has never been an easy task.

Today, the driver will transfer you to the airport and you leave Morocco with a lot of memories and stories to tell.
