According to the Moroccan Consulate, British nationals don’t need a visa to enter Morocco for the purpose of tourism for up to 3 months. However, if your stay is more than 3 months, you need to extend your stay by contacting the nearest Police Department in Morocco

Concerning passports, they should be 3 months valid at the time of your entry and in all the cases, higher than the duration of the stay. The same situation applies if you apply for a visa.

If your passport doesn’t meet these requirements, you may face difficulties and you should check with the Moroccan authorities and your travel provider before traveling.

According to Moroccan authorities, the holders of British passports are British citizens, British Nationals (Overseas) and British subjects with a Certificate of Entitlement to the Right of Abode issued by the UK are eligible for visa-free entry. Other cases are treated differently based on their country of origin.

How can you submit your application in UK?

British citizens who live in Greater London must apply for a visa in person. However, if you live outside Greater London, you may apply via post.

Worth saying that only applicants who live outside the greater London area who can apply by post; other applicants must submit the application in person. Otherwise, they will reject your application.

What should you do to apply by post?

When you apply by post, make sure that you enclose all the documents stated below.

  • Your original passport
  • The amounts of £20 (one entry) £27 (multiple entries) in Cash enclosed in a separate envelope to be enclosed in the package with the other documents.
  • Make sure you include a PREPAID (500G STAMP) self-addressed envelope special delivery with your name and address on it for return.
  • If you don’t include a prepaid special delivery envelope your passport will not be sent back to you.
  • Please place all documents, in the order above, in a plastic folder to avoid loss and delay.

The only original document that you should submit is your passport. For other documents, you need to submit only copies since they won’t give them back to you.

When you submit your application by post, keep your special delivery for tracking.

If you see that your mail has been received by the Consulate, that indicates they are processing your application. Therefore,  you don’t need to call them so that they will contact you if something is missing.
